Adrienne was here. The rumor-mill said that Adrienne was here.

Emma felt like her heart and stomach had both been removed, she couldn't breathe. Clearly, she needed caffeine to process this.

Besides, the Portalocity offices didn't open for another hour, so she couldn't book something to her New York to hide for the rest of the weekend. Yet. And if Emma was lucky, Adrienne would stick to her usual routine of sleeping to noon.

Therefore, coffee, and then a battle-plan. And then Emma could deal with the rest of the day.

[OOC: Open Perk is open, and up ridiculously early for SP issues today.]

Considering his and sergeant Angua's guests, it was probably for the best that Vimes was not aware of their presence on the island so far.

Because he was still in his office rather than wondering if the universe had gone madder than usual.

...the unicorns clearly hadn't been enough of a clue as to that. Really.

Yesterday had been a complete surprise for Bod. He hadn't expected Silas and hadn't even been ready for something of that magnitude to happen to him so even a day later, he was still wound up and more than a little energetic.

Bod had plans to meet Silas this morning but the older man wasn't there yet. Bod didn't know where he'd gone after they'd departed but he knew better than to think about it too hard. For the moment, he was sitting alone, drinking something warm and picking at the muffin in front of him.

Silas hadn't told him much about what he and the Honour Guard had been doing since he'd last seen Bod but he hoped that would change today. He wanted to hear about where Silas had gone, if he'd returned to the graveyard and if he'd seen the last of the Jacks eliminated.

It was hard to just sit there when his mind was buzzing with so many different things but he knew Silas would only chide him and give him a very cool, very assessing look if he was found to be out of control. So, he'd stay there for now and wait for his guardian.

[Totally open, yep, if you wanna bother Bod or meet Silas (a little later when I get him into the post) or just wanna use the business for yourself!]

Another week past, another quantity of days spent home in Bristol helping newly made vampires cope with the immediate symptoms of the change. Mitchell didn't need Parents' Weekend to meet any of his 'old friends' or relatives.

All of his relatives were dead, anyway.

But, in honour of the weekend, he at least managed to dredge up something that everyone would be able to watch. Two family comedies, though, seemed like a little too much work today.

Cold Times: Wet Feet

He put a smileyface underneath just to stress the point, then went back inside. Just because he didn't feel smileyface-y didn't mean he was going to completely ruin whatever the humans were up to.

Mary was feeling pretty tired today. Apparently Sam did not sleep, and while it was fun to stay up all night talking, Mary needed her sleep. She also really needed her coffee, but she couldn't figure out what happened to the coffee maker that used to be at the front desk.

She was just about to head into the kitchen to ask Gunther if he had seen the coffee maker when she heard a crash. Moments later, Sebastian came scuttling out of the kitchen and headed back towards his room, with Gunther right behind him, rolling pin in hand.

"No!" screamed Mary. "No trying to cook guests, Gunther! In fact, just to be safe, no cooking meat or seafood for the rest of the weekend. We're going vegetarian."

As Gunther protested, Mary heard a familiar giggle from behind her. "Nice to see some things don't change. Hey Gunther, it's good to see you again!" said Sam, looking very amused as she hugged Gunther, then led him back to the kitchen. "You know, I've really been craving that awesome salad you used to make. Think you can help me out?"

With the crisis over, Mary headed back to the front desk, still lacking coffee but feeling luck that she had a friend who could actually sweet-talk Gunther into behaving.

Jaina had to work today, so no mixer for her. She wasn't sure how many people she'd get in here tonight with that going on, but at the very least she had a Zekk with her. One she was occasionally glowering at after she'd heard about him going to see John.

Everyone else would get a non-glowery girl, though. Probably. You never knew with her.

After Quinn spoke with Santana at the picnic, it didn't take her long to realize she and Puck needed to meet up and do damage control. She'd been so focused on her mother and Finn that it hadn't even occurred to her that Puck might invite people, too. And she didn't need Santana Lopez thinking she had randomly gone crazy in two separate universes.

She and Puck needed a cover story, and it would help if it was the same one. She texted him to ask him to meet her for coffee -- and to leave the guests behind.

For now, she'd sit at a table by the window, staring into the street and contemplating whether running away was any kind of an option.

[OOC: Open coffee shop, yes!]

Hinata was… Hinata was fairly certain that her brief respite yesterday—in that her father had merely requested that she lead them to their room and then left her to her own devices—was going to come to a halt.

Right about… now.

With lunch, apparently, as she studied the menu and hoped that this wouldn't be a disaster.

Hinata was eternally optimistic.

Avoiding gods was harder than it looked, especially when your father was the god of the roads and traveling. Luke's powers came in handy when he wanted to zip around the island quickly, but the trouble was his father had the exact same powers. So, after listening to radio, he came up with a new strategy. He figured that Hermes would want to avoid his uncles, so he headed towards the beach, hoping that his father would be smart enough to steer clear of Poseidon's territory.

Luke picked a quiet spot on the beach and sat down in the sand, not really having any idea of what he wanted to do other than avoid his father. After a few minutes he decided that, hey, he could use a stiff drink. Unfortunately his concentration was off so whenever he tried to snap up something alcoholic he ended up with...root beer. Which was delicious, but not what he wanted.

This weekend sucked on so many levels.

[The beach is open omg if you want to talk to Luke (Hermes thread with Luke comes first, though) or if you just want it for your own shenanigans]

Despite the fact that his mom and Courtney were in town - well, along with Jack who was always here, Bobby had no idea where any of them were. He figured Jack and Courtney were together. They always had been this summer anyway, and even Bobby got that he'd be an interruption. Mom was probably yelling at one teacher or another. Which was normal, but that didn't mean that Bobby wanted to be there to see it. Maybe his teachers would forget whose mom she was by classes next week.

It was a nice day out so Bobby had brought his French book down to town, collected a bag of donuts (better eat the refined sugar while his mom wasn't looking) and hot chocolate and parked himself on the bench by the pond. The 'studying' had turned more into throwing donuts pieces to the ducks, but at least he could be the tiniest bit sorry for himself about having no one to hang out with without anyone calling him on it.

[OOC: Open park to talk to Bobby or for your own needs!]

This was a bad idea.

Squall sat in the ice cream shop, with a half-melted sundae in front of him, waiting for Laguna to show. He'd gotten here hours before they were supposed to meet, and had been sulking the whole time. Everything sucked. Why did the man want to talk to him NOW?

He stirred the sundae with his spoon. Whatever.

[For two in particular, but the ice cream shop is open to all]

As the sun started to go down, the party was only just getting started. The Fandom Community Center was set up and well-lit to receive this weekend's guests. The bar was open and there were nibblies and appetizers on offer all evening. Music was playing most of the night, but not loud enough to hamper conversation. Welcome to the Parents Weekend Mixer, for anyone who wanted to stop in and share in some good company and good cheer!

Marcus was aware there were extra people on the island, and that there'd been some sort of commotion up at the school.

Since it wasn't his problem, he didn't much care. Mostly, he was just glad all seemed to be normal in the junkyard today.

It made a nice change.

[OOC: there is OCD, including a ship thread for those who have ships in the junkyard if they want to use it.]
