Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays got Open Mic Night, nine 'til midnight or whenever the hell I decide the entertainment's startin' to piss me off.

Thursdays, we got half off pints, and all sorts o' nancyboy coffee drinks're half off all day Saturday.

No cover with student ID, welcome sixteen and up, but under twenty-one, you get your hand bloody well stamped though I don't give a sod if you try to pass a fake driving licence 'cross the bar.

That's 'bout it, I s'pose. Though we got no sodding top forty bollocks in the jukebox, right?

Coughing and spluttering can be heard from the indeterminate blanketed shape on the sofa. There is a bottle of wine (unopened, with the corkscrew laid jauntily next to it) on the floor next to the couch, and a packet of cigarettes (crumpled) balanced carefully on top of what looks like a ham sandwich (crustless, with possibly the *slightest* hint of a green blush) on the scratched leather of the arm.


Oh GOD.....

Is it the weekend yet?

*flings off blanket. lights up around several hacking coughs*

*checks to see the door is still locked. staggers around to desk and collapses in chair*

*fumbles around on table for wineglass. Tips glass over, ejecting 3 fagends and 1 bluebottle (comatose)*

East Side Park: The TARDIS

[Things are calm in East Side Park. Birds are fluttering about, insects are buzzing and annoying infants, mothers are buzzing and annoying infants...your fairly standard day, really.]

[Then, from no particular direction, a funny sort of whooshing noise starts, and slowly, a blue box that vaguely resembles a telephone booth (at least to the American eye) begins to fade into view.]

[Once it appears to be solid, there is a moment of pure silence in the park. Then the door opens, and a man in a nice brown pinstriped suit looks out. He is wearing white Converse and a huge shit-eating grin, and looks to be in his thirties.]

Brilliant!

[Then he waves at a toddler, who is staring at him with wide eyes.]

Park Appears

A pleasant little park has appeared across the street from the rare book store. It has a small duck pond (with ducks, of course), several shady trees, a few benches, and a rail next to the pond (perfect for leaning, and feeding the ducks).

The Perkolator

Waiting for courier_gavin at a table with a cup of coffee (black) steaming gently in front of him, Krycek reads the menu-board, trying to figure out why anyone would want kiwi-flavored syrup in their coffee. Or why you'd want a drink that was mostly milk. The macchiato didn't sound bad, though... If he needed to be awake for more than 20 consecutive hours, he might have to try one.

Hello, fellow fandomtownies!

My name is Bree Van De Kamp, and I have just moved to the area to accept a teaching position at the local high school.

I have rented a quaint apartment, but am unaccustomed to living alone, and would like to offer my guest bedroom to a fellow resident in need of housing. Rent will not be collected, although you will be asked to pay for your utilities.

It is a fairly large room, and would fit two people if that is necessary, although I do not believe in living in sin, so no unmarried couples, please. Townies, Fellow Teachers, and Mature Students are all welcome to apply; I will give the room to the first acceptable applicant(s).

The living room can be viewed here. I realize that some of the decor is a bit tacky, but I will be redecorating immediately. There are laundry facilities, a wonderful balcony, a full kitchen, and your own bathroom.

Second off, apologies for the headache that I know this question is going to cause, particularly for all our hard-working and awesome maintainers/mods/volunteer workers...

Thirdly off, the question: Is there anyway of generating a map (even just a rudimentary one) of where all off-campus establishments are in relation to each other/the campus? It might not be that important, ultimately, but if there were going to be one, might as well start it now before even more businesses pop up.

"The inn. I know," Rory says, smiling at her stepfather. "I only have a second, anyway, and I wanted to know if you'd give her this." She presses a ( note into his hand. )

Luke sticks the note in his pocket and promises to pass it on. Rory stays long enough to chat with her stepfather before taking an enormous burger and a cup of coffee back to school with her.

Luke's Diner - Open for Business

Luke unlocks the door to his new diner. He still can't believe he let his wife talk him into opening a second diner in this wacky town where she decided to send Rory to school and get a part time teaching job. As if he isn't busy enough. And to top it off, Liz heard about the school from Lorelai and decided to send Jess as well, which meant he would have to keep an eye on his errant nephew.

With a sigh, he hangs a sign in the window.
