The door to the TARDIS is slightly ajar, so she doesn't have to get up. She's made herself a comfy station in the parlor...foods, beverages, phone, remote, kleenex, a large empty bowl, bottles of medications, a book...everything someone who had to take a sick day would want to help them feel like they weren't just slacking from work. She has a headache, but her head looks better this morning now that it's clean. The bruising isn't so bad, and the cut has already begun to heal. She's dying for someone to talk to...since the Doctor went up to run her class.

Open for Business

But...

Red…was mad. Not the kind of mad that gets sudden displays of anger or rage to express the energy behind the mad.

His was a mad of the calm and quiet.

It can be seen in the set of his shoulders, in the rise of the hackles on his back, in the deadly way he moves through his shop.

He’s glad he had insurance to cover the door should it have been broken. He’s still not happy. Duce had been there when it happened. If she or Shane had been injured, Red would have gotten ugly about it.

At the moment, he’s just mad.

Mad enough to figure out what happened and who to drag before the police and make them pay for the window and get a good bite or two in.

ooc edited: Adjusted for a correction that I would have noticed had I not been trying to write before my first cup of coffee...no broken window, just broken bottle hurled through an open door. He's still mad about it though.

Phale's Bookshop - Open for business

Marty makes a quick phone call on his way to town to open up Phale's bookstore.

As usual the place is neat and tidy, and the pot of tea has refilled itself on its own and the plate of cookies has been replinished. Weird.

[OOC: If not at class, study hall, etc. Marty will be here to help Phale while he's out of town, though he has no access to any "special books".]

The Emporium is open

There are two new signs in the window. They read:

"Homecoming Special: free pack of condoms with purchase over $10."

"Now available, in case of unexpected 'guests': cricket bats and assorted ammunition."

The new boys in town

They had found an abandoned farmhouse on the outskirts of town and took up residence. The barn was big enough to hold their bikes, keeping them out of the elements and the house large where they could spread out to tinker.

It didn’t come with supplies, though, and while they enjoyed Spike’s hospitality with the alcohol, they did need to eat too. Their ‘meeting’ with Spike the day before had detoured them from the reason they had gone into town in the first place.

Far too early in the day to resupply and restock, a short break before they returned home by the fountain found them watching the townspeople as they bustled around. Soon they would head back and see if they could catch up with Spike, whom they had left sleeping in one of the abandoned guest rooms of the house. For the moment, they would just watch the people.

Kadaj sat on the ground, his back braced by the concrete ‘foundation’ of the fountain. He tilted his head up to look at his brother, Yazoo, who reclined along the seating at the edge of the fountain.

With his fingers trailing in the water, Yazoo occasionally flicked water at Loz as he tried to work on a small puzzle Kadaj picked up for him, nailing him in the face with the cool droplets.

Irritably, after Yazoo hit him with the water yet again, Loz kicked out at Yazoo with a snarl and nailed him sharply in the thigh. He was rewarded with a laugh and a return kick but the impromptu shower stopped with a warning look from Kadaj.

Lazy day, lazy bodies, lazy watching.


OOC: Posed to make their presence known (as if it wasn’t noted with their little meeting yesterday at Spike’s). If you’re interested in interaction, feel free but know that I will be slow in responding today *is home now*.

Tuesday, Late Afternoon in the park

She wakes up and Shane is gone. She sits up, takes a swig of cold cocoa and her anti-inflamitory meds. Her head doesn't hurt quite as much, and neither do her knees. She flips through the channels..bored. So bored. I should have assigned essays so at least I'd have something to do she thinks.

The sound of Ten snoring is coming from the bedroom, and she's going stir crazy. She gets up, dresses in her loose pants and a tank top, puts on her hoodie, and goes out to sit in the park. She doesn't go far...she just has to get out. So bored.

Sora rushed through town like a bolt of lighting towards the store realizing that he was late for his shift. He really hoped Mr. Wonka wouldn't be mad.

Sneaking in quietly, he sits behind the counter sheepishly whistleing like nothing was out of the ordinary.
