Walter picked his way through the junkyard to the area he'd been directed to the last time he'd gone there. There seemed to be an endless supply of things to cut apart, and he had plenty of thinking to do while he did it.

[ooc: Open like a town thing is open. Here (a bit early) for Tyler in particular.]

Clark nodded in approval at what the staff had done, and partook in the offerings himself. He liked the Sunday Brunch idea. More communities should do this.

The Buffet
There's Pancakes
Waffles
sausage
bacon
hash-browns
and omelet station
scrambled eggs
cold cut sandwiches if one was in less of a breakfasty mood.
several kinds of juices, milk, coffee
And if there's something special you would like, I'm sure we can accommodate you.

All are welcome!

The grill is on, the coffee is hot and it's Sunday in Fandom.

This week, the broadcast doesn't begin with opera of any sort, Klingon or otherwise. Instead, it's The Rolling Stones version of "Money (That's What I Want)". He thought it would be a more proper introduction to his program.

"Welcome, faithful listeners, to the second week of Profits and Prophecy. This week marks the first of my special interviews. Joining me in the studio is Doctor Elliot Reid, a class act that is probably too much class to be teaching at the local school. But first up, we'll have a few musical selections, as selected by you, my audience. We begin today with a song called 'Dude Looks Like a Lady', by Aerosmith. Apparently this one goes out to John Crichton. Don't ask me why."

The song begins, and the show has started.

[ooc: Wait for OCD, please. Go ahead and call in!]

Dawn applied more sunscreen to her shoulders and stretched out on her towel with her book. Beach book, check. Bottled water, check. Waves, check.

Yep, life was good.

[ooc: Open to all.]

Joxer had decided that a nice walk through the forest would be an ideal thing for his date with Kaylee. He had a flask of water on his person, as well as a pouch of berries, in case there was a need for provisions. Mainly, he just wanted to be around Kaylee, and hold her hand some more. Oh, and talk. And some other things as well, but he wasn't in a rush or anything.

He was ready to take his time.

[ooc: Here for [livejournal.com profile] enginegirl, obviously. But if someone feels a desperate need to interrupt them, I suppose that would be okay.]
[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com
Peter took a seat at the Perk and ordered a coffee while he waited for his interview subject. He looked over Artie's entry in the Fandom Town Directory and prepared himself for silliness. This guy was teaching a class about Dadaism, after all. He had to be at least slightly off his rocker.

[OOC: Thread between Peter and Artie is locked to them but good for broadcast. Other than that, open for all of your coffee-related needs.]

GOB walked into the bar, appreciating the smooth zombie jazz that had been played non-stop over the past 48 hours. Really, it could have been worse.

He barely noticed that Tino wasn't doing much. Tino didn't appreciate this. Tino vowed not to get a single order right tonight. Too bad he vowed this on the slowest night of the week.

[OOC: I'll probably be AFK for about an hour. I'm back. Still feel free to mod Tino. And as per [livejournal.com profile] marsheadtilt's suggestion, Tino is on strike this week. He'll either refuse to serve or give the wrong order. Complaints can be made to Caritas management.

UPDATE: GOB is gone for the night. Tino is by himself. He's putting up aluminum siding around the bar. Yes.]

Alec held the door for Jaye as they stepped into the restaurant, then asked the waitress for a table for two.

"How many more places do we need to visit before I've had the full tour?" He asked with amusement, as they waited to be seated.

[ooc: Alec and Jaye's thread locked to them, otherwise open for all of your Chinese culinary needs]

Sue Ellen had needed to duck out for a bit, so Clark was working the front desk that evening.

for Nadia and Walter but hey, anyone wants to come say howdy or get a room, we're open.
