Jaye was about to head out of town, to get on a plane and visit a former love interest who had left, though she completely intended on returning unlike so many people who tended to go on trips and never came back, or like those kids who went to boarding school and came back all mature. No, this was just your regular, average, every day trip. In a rickshaw.

Except for the fact that the rickshaw kept driving erratically through the streets until they were somewhere Jaye didn't recognize. "Excuse me," Jaye said, "this isn't where I asked you to go. I needed the airport. I have a plane to catch."

The rickshaw driver hiccupped.

"Oh my god," Jaye realized in horror. "Are you driving drunk?"

At which point the rickshaw plunged off a handy cliff.

Jennifer Scotts, disgraced and exiled former chief of the Millennium City police force in the year 3000, was barely holding back tears this morning, as she was every morning.

Because wouldn't you, if you had had all that power and prestige, and were now shamed and working in a pizza parlor?

[OOC: . . . I have no idea.]

Despite her sheltered, convent school upbringing, and generally innocent image she presented, Meg was much smarter then most people thought. After all her father ran the biggest organized crime syndicate in the country and she'd learned by listening in on many conversations and meetings when she was supposed to be asleep. Or even better, by being ignored because she was just a young girl.

Well she'd show them.

It wasn't hard to slip away from her bodyguards, they were more muscle then brains, and make her way to the park. There was someone she needed to see.

[Due to RL Meg will only be here for one. But feel free to use for all you park-like needs.]

Note: The role of Lucas Scott will now be played by Joshua Jackson.

Lucas was having a crisis. He found himself torn between the girls he'd loved for so long and the new, hot stud who he could see really having some enjoyable sex with. And then the guy's ex had punched him at the school dance. Naturally this called for a really good brooding session at the local coffee shop.

"Cuppa joe, please," he flashed a winning smile at the kid behind the counter and took his seat, booting up his laptop to check the highlights of things going on back in Tree Hill. "Oh this is an interesting story," he murmured to himself. "Seems my father killed my uncle in a tragic high school shoot out that was caused by the trickle effect of me getting on the Varsity basketball team last year. And my best friend and half-brother got remarried during senior year after a rocky summer divorce but then tragically are torn apart when their limo crashes on a bridge and my brother jumps in the river to save his uncle who looks like Anders. Damn, that's harsh. Meanwhile my mother, ex-girlfriend, and best friend are all having a pregnancy scare but we don't know whose stick it is. Jesus, I need to call home more!"

Lucas had to laugh, he missed so much. But really, thank god Lucas hadn't been in Tree Hill. Another pregnancy scare was the last thing his emo needed. It was full up with this potential sex with dudes thing.

The church was quiet save for a lone man in one of the pews near the front. His head was bowed, hands clasped together and lips moving silently.

The world outside was one full of depravity, transgressions and sin. Inside this church, Father Ned was safe. Inside this church, Father Ned reached out to those who were crying out for help, crying out for aide.

If they were cold, Father Ned gave them his coat. If they were hungry, Father Ned cooked them some soup. It was his small way of giving back to the world after what he'd done in the past. What he must never tell anyone.

No one would ever know that side of him. He'd been born the day he'd become a priest.

And so, Father Ned's prayers ended with a sigh and longing glance upward before he stood and looked at the empty church. Hopefully, it would be filled soon.

[So, Ned's a priest! And he'll be around all day to take confession or what have you. Come on by and confess your sins!]

Vala wasn't sure what she was going to do. She trusted the technology of this universe, up to a point. Unfortunately, that point was right in front of her, telling her what she didn't want to hear.

How could she have been so stupid?

Barney was the mark. She knew he was the mark. But she'd taken her eye off the prize, and now she wasn't going to be able to just take off with all of his lovely, shiny money and set up shop in some other galaxy.

Oh, no. First she had to give birth to his baby.

Well, not his baby, but even she wasn't irresponsible enough to leave a child alone with Biff.

Hurley opened up shop and sat behind the counter. He'd had a good time last night. And that Viki girl, well... huh. That was something he hadn't expected at all.

He hummed a little to himself before putting on a Creedence Clearwater Revival CD on.

Striding into Town Hall like he owned the place-- and soon he would-- Tony smirked evilly.

"This town won't know what hit them when I get done with them," He announced to no one. None of the usual aides were around at that one moment to hear the evil statement.

He had his eyes set on the Mayor's office and that's just where he went.

"Soon I'll buy all the property here and I can have my revenge on these peasants. They never should have mocked me when I was young. They'll never mock me again! No one will see it coming! No one!"

Was that maniacal laughter? Why yes, yes it was.

[[Open like a town hall. Because everyone just wanders into important places to talk to people they don't know are actually there! ...and posted with permission of our esteemed mayor.]]

Ammy had felt some odd vibes from the people she passed on her way to work today, but none were odder than the vibes coming from Issun. She took a glance at him from over her shoulder but ignored it and went to sit out on the porch.

Issun meanwhile stewed angrily. Why did she only ever think of Waka romantically, doesn't she ever notice someone else could be a good match?! Someone a little... smaller? If she'd only accept him he'd clean up his ways! He'd make a good life for them! But she never looked his way, and all he could do was sulk about it and womanize his feelings away...

((OOC: Open, Ammy's on the porch, and very un-emo))

Momoko'd had lots of fun at the Homecoming carnival and dance yesterday and had fallen asleep smiling. Not too unusual for her, but it was still a fact. She'd met the morning still over-excited and made the sudden decision to finally visit the new onsen in town. Which was why she was here, stowing her things away and humming one of the songs from the dance last night.

Charles Bass woke up fashionably late (he was fashionably late for everything) and headed straightaway to The Perk. He needed to brood and the perfect place to brood was in public where everybody could see you doing it. He got a low-fat macchiato with soy milk and sat at a table near the window so everybody could see the brooding. He had many things to brood about. First and foremost was the discovery of the identity of his father. That had put him in both shock and awe when he had found out. He must confront him. Yes, confronting him was key. If he made his real father proud then maybe he would be written into his will.

And always there was brooding about John *dun dun duuuuuuuuuun* Charles took an angry sip of his drink as he both brooded and seethed over John.

Fresh starts were for reformed punks and former hookers. Fresh starts were words used in fabric softener commercials.

Hannibal didn't need any damn fresh starts. All he needed was the open road, a pack of smokes, and some gas. It was just his dumb luck that he'd get stuck in some two bit town with a broken down bike.

He was running away. Running away from his past and running towards an uncertain future.

Hannibal looked up and stared at the sea. "I don't need anybody. I have myself. That's all I need. Everybody else left me and that's fine. I'm fine. I live by my own code! No one loves me. Pfft, love, I don't need that. Loves for movies and cheap television shows that no one watches. I'm a man of action. I do what I want and I want what I do. If you can't handle that, then I don't give a damn. No one can change me! No one!"

It wasn't clear who he was talking to. He was just talking. He missed so much. His past was painful and he blamed everyone.

He wouldn't cry though. That was just sand in his eye.

[Hannibal's here for one specific "person" but the beach is open.]

It was going to be one of those days...

Kurogane opened up the cafe and immediately noticed that somethign was wrong. Usually the utensils didn't start making out, or have love triangles or secret children...

How they could do that anyways Kurogane didn't even want to think about!! Sadly, his one ally in all of the craziness, the Cheese Grater, had come down with a case of anmesia.

Yeah.

It was sad that he was getting too used to this.

Already, it had been a very odd day for Hermaphroditus Sparkles, and that was saying a lot, living the life he did. He knew it would be better come this evening, when he would go out and shine in his element, but, for now, there was drifting in the park, contemplating the letter in his hand that was addressed to his birth name, that lost little girl Calliope Stephanides.

Finally, though, a bit away from the duck pond, where the careless fowl went about their careless lives, he took a seat at the bench and pulled out the letter, which he'd already read countless times:

Honey mou... )

Reading through it again, Hermaphroditus still felt a catch in his throat; he let out a gasp of a sob and held the letter tightly to his tissue-enhanced breast. Oh, yia yia! But somehow...somehow...it was like he'd known all along.

After spending some time gaining wisdom from the great Father Ned, Toby ran quickly to work, finding he was late but that it didn't really matter. He set himself up at the counter, making no pretense of actually doing work.

As he flipped through the latest issue of Out! magazine, his thoughts turned to what Father Ned had said about forgiveness and being one of God's children. Maybe Lucas wasn't all bad after all.

Rikku was waiting at Chilly Boulder. And pacing. And monologuing. That one was new.

"I hope Dawn gets here soon," Rikku said, to no one in particular. "We have so much to talk about, since she left at the end of the summer term. My trip to Gaia last weekend, and her breaking up with Sam, it's just been such a crazy time. I think maybe we both need some ice cream."

Rikku frowned, glancing at the counterperson. "Was I talking to you?"

The girl shook her head.

"Then why the heck did I just say all of that? Who am I talking to, myself?"

(OOC: For Dawn, and their thread is locked, please, but absolutely open! Rikku is normal, but she keeps falling into soap-style dialogue and has no idea why.)

It was supposed to be Brooke who opened Caritas today, all part of her new job. Unfortunately for Brooke, her twin sister Jaina had attempted to kill her while she was suffering from a rare tropical disease.

Unfortunately for Jaina, she hadn't actually killed Brooke, who was now just comatose in the clinic, so the fact that she was opening up Caritas and telling a mustachioed Tino that she was Brooke in order to steal her new perfect life might come back to bite her. Just maybe.

Ray had forgotten a couple of things at the station the previous day. A 'couple' meaning materials of a type he was not going to go into on account of them being classified police business. Yep.

Upon arrival, though, he couldn't find the Sheriff anywhere. "Huh," he voiced, eyeing Ralph, "Hey, Rick! Anything serious happen while I was out?"

Needless to say, Ray was a little confused when he picked himself up off the floor fifteen minutes later, and found that Ralph had dashed out of the station-- crying more watery tears than any human being technically contained.

He scratched the back of his head.

"Seriously?!"

He was just gonna take a seat for a while.

That morning, Roy had received a peculiar phone call. One that had thrilled him more than anything had thrilled him in a very long time.

Sheriff Mustang, he could hear the voice as he walked through the streets as if it all was happening right now. I think it is time that you should know. Someone very close to you is still alive and he's here. In Fandom.

He'd tried to find out who they meant, who they were, but the person had hung up immediately. Still, the voice and the words... they wouldn't leave him alone. It couldn't be. But who else? Who else could be...

"You're alive, Hughes. I know you are. I will find you!"

And so, Sheriff Roy Mustang was wandering the streets of Fandom, looking for his long lost friends. Hoping to be reunited once more.

John was brooding over the day's events as he stormed down the streets of Fandom, his dark coat billowing with the effort. He'd initially managed to one-up Bass by not falling prey to the hooker on the corner, but Bass had thrown him again by announcing the legendary Tony Stark was none other than his father.

Macchiato-drinking ass got all the good family. But it didn't matter, things were in motion to ensure him control over the Skywalker Diamond Mines on his 18th birthday. And then he'd show Charles Bass. Oh, he'd show him.

Willow was back for Homecoming, of course. She wanted to see her friends again, and all the things that she missed about the island, like the squirrels and of course coffee.

Coffee could be handled easily, which was why she was at the Perk.

This was all perfectly normal.

Much as it was entirely normal that for some reason Willow couldn't stop pondering about a lampshade that was hanging near her table.

Just one of those Fandom things.

Dick woke up on a park bench. He wasn't sure how he got here, but he did know one thing definitively... "It was all just a dream," he said. But he said it quietly so that nobody might hear it. In fact, at the moment it seemed as if his entire purpose was to be in the background if anyone with an actual speaking part wandered by.

He was an extra. And he was suddenly reading a newspaper in order to guarantee that there was no eye contact made with more important people.

[OOC: Park is open for any parkly needs. Dick will not talk to anyone in the post. He may, however, move slightly in the background. Please don't mind him.]

"Mwahahahahahahaha!" Biff cackled as he strode through the store in his too-tight leather pants and especially evil eyepatch. He kept switching the eye it was covering, trying to figure out which side made him look more attractive.

"My plan is finally, finally working! After minutes--nay, hours!--of...planning--" Biff didn't have the most extensive vocabulary--"I have finally made Barney cry like he made me cry the day he ate all of the Fruit Loops!"

This store was great for monologuing!

"He will rue the day, oh yes, yes he will!"

The soundtrack cued up dramatically.

The Wellsprings Arms was open.
