Sunday Morning,
jacks_roses, Buffy Silently Angsts As She Prepa
Sunday, January 8th, 2006 04:25 am[[OOC: Shush. You do not see me. The mun is in no way sneaking out of bed where she is supposed to be nursing a back injury and bronchitis to play at FH...not at all...these are not the droids you're looking for This is not the Mun/Slayer/Witch you think it is... *hides from her friends who KNOW that she's not well...err who know she should be resting. None of us here are "Well"...]]
Buffy sighed as she opened up the flower shoppe in town. After the chaos of registration and the weirdness of the phones...she had hung out in her dorm room...avoiding the common areas after she saw the linking of Angel and Callisto's names. She had taken her phone off the hook and hadn't checked her messages, either.
She arranged flowers and gifts as she tried to keep her sadness from being public knowledge. She wasn't angry or even jealous, really. She was just very sad...and truth be told, lonely. Since Tara, and then Sonia, had left, she really didn't have anyone that she could talk to...not really. Xander was still here, yes, but she got the feeling that he wanted to keep her at arm's length. She heard him talk about "his" Willow and "his" Buffy...and it only served to drive the point home that she was very much alone here. Ms. Calendar hated her --- and she had every reason to. It only seemed to make it worse that "her" Xander and "her" Willow hadn't contacted her even once since Giles sent her here. Hell, except for the occassional phone call where he checked in with her and passed along vague warnings and prophecies, Giles hadn't even contacted her. She had spent both major holidays here at the school. She had hoped that she would get the chance at a normal life here...not the chance for a normal (and solitary) Slayer's life like she had been told by Giles it always had been before.
( Much Emo and Moping for the Slayer...Who Works in a Flower Shoppe )
Buffy finished setting up the final displays for the day that Jack had left instructions for her to arrange and went to flip the sign to "OPEN".
It was going to be another very long and lonely day for Buffy.
God, she was actually looking forward to classes starting on Monday. How tragic was that?
