Jack was at the shop, bright and early, and was flipping through a photography magazine. There was an entire section of articles on how to take photographs of public events. He was currently reading the ballet one about aperture.

Prince Edward was a tad put out today. That thing Priest told him to do? Well, he might have possibly gotten hooked on doing it. Even before a date. Why not? He woke up in the morning already ready.

Um.

The fact was it wasn't working for him. It didn't work for him this morning at all. He was irritated at that and sat behind the counter, face in hand, contemplating the 'why not's'.

He did manage to get the menu board up.

Loki had contemplated not coming out to work this morning. He was the boss and he could do what he fucking wanted. There wouldn't have been any rhyme or reason for it save for the fact that he just didn't want to work. But, in the end, he'd decided to come out because he realized he'd be really fucking bored if he didn't.

Of course, he wasn't alone. Having taken advantage of his paycheck, he'd purchased some weird looking video game system and two games to go along with the system.

So, now, Loki was out in the lobby (having dragged his television, wires and all out so he had more room) and was playing the first game. And cussing. Loudly.

"Fucking cheating ass game!" he yelled, scowling. The game wasn't cheating. He just wasn't all that good.

Yet.

Hinata had come in with the intent to quietly study her script, in-between customers, until it was time to go to rehearsal but found herself, upon arrival, having to tidy up the store and then spend a goodly while having to put books back on their proper shelves rather than the one the customers had felt was ‘good enough’.

It was, all in all, not a bad thing however. Some few of the books were interesting enough that she read the first chapter while standing, just to see what they were about.

Purple columbine. Cyclamen. Sweetbriar.

Those were the plants Ino had paid for, and then woven into a little crown on top her head. It made her grin because she was the only one who’d even know what the meanings meant.

And Ino was perfectly okay with that. She hummed as she worked, sweeping the floor, and then doing inventory to see what all they had in the store.

Mary was rather grumpy as she sat at the front desk today. She flagged down one of the housekeeping staff and asked for extra batteries to be delivered to her suite because the batteries in her television remote had died. Or, at least, that's what Mary claimed.

The maid realized that there had to be more to the story, though. The hotel staff spent the rest of the day giggling whenever they saw Mary.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Lion-o was running a little behind in sending his latest report to the Thundercats Council. He just wasn't sure how to explain the events from two weekends ago.

Snarf made him sit off by himself and finish his letter home, but the staff took pity on him and kept bringing him cookies.

Today's Specials
Grilled Salmon with Pomegranate Vinaigrette
Chocolate-Dipped Cookies

With the water damage mostly dealt with, the rink gone from his seating area (in the theatre, thank you), and rehearsal today, Geoffrey had to admit today was a pretty good day.

Of course, the actors weren't here yet. He'd have to see how this went.

Temari was once again in the meditation part of the business today. Last night with Madrox had been... well she was in need of relaxation. Or one hell of a fight.

Either of them would work right about now.

Aravis was only mildly tense when she opened the Gig on Tuesday. Only mildly. It had been a frustrating evening in last night, and so...yes, she was a bit frustrated. Nothing interesting.

And she'd probably only snap a little if anyone irritated her.

After the events of the week prior, Pepper was doing some extra work making sure that her go-to databases were up-to-date, and updating her software.

It was a fascinating job, really.

Adam opened up the store on time, taking a moment to peruse the stacks. There were some titles he didn't recognize, so he decided to check them out.

Marshall was not in the best of moods when he opened Caritas today. He knew getting drunk was not the answer to his, ahem, bedroom problems so he decided to channel his frustration into cleaning the bar instead.

So that's what he was doing. Cleaning the bar like it was his job. Well. It was his job. He was just actually doing it today.

By some minor miracle, Katchoo had managed to not spend all her money on cigarettes and art supplies, and even saved up enough to buy herself a cheap MP3 player -- not that she had a computer, but she also had no compunctions about using the computer lab for such purposes.

Earphones plugged in, she settled in behind the counter with some of her newly acquired music cranking; she had to grin (yes, she did that sometimes, thank you) at a song called "Georgia O" that she'd stumbled across while websurfing last week -- that random find was not only responsible for the prompt she'd left for the art club members on Monday, but the purchase of the MP3 player itself; there was no way she could have passed up trying to get her hands on that song.

Driving into Santa Fe, dreaming of the day I'll make it mine
That day is coming

Ani DiFranco on the tape player -- thinking of the things I'd say to her if I could
But I just keep humming . . .

It wasn't her usual fare, but she was getting pretty into it -- except that the song kept cutting out on the last verse, or she'd yank her headphones loose, or she'd accidentally hit the Skip button on the stupid device she hadn't gotten the hang of yet.

And yet, for just about every other track she'd uploaded onto the thing so far, she wasn't having any trouble.

Of course Katchoo was in a bad mood today. But at least she had a new and slightly different reason to be?

[OOC: The OCD, it's still on the road heading for another joint. Open! Also, I feel compelled to mention that the lyrics in that link are, er, possibly NWS for obvious metaphor.]
