[identity profile] maias-notebook.livejournal.com
Maia sat drinking some cocoa, flipping through a catalog trying to figure out what to get for Paige, Tonks and Sawyer. She had an idea for Chiana but after their talk/argument the other day that gift just did not seem to fit anymore. Maia frowned slightly, a pad of paper next to her where she jotted down ideas for presents. I should get Tonks something magical...she's magical but so is Paige.. Maia glanced at a catalog that contained crystals of different kinds I don't think Tonk's uses crystals, I've only ever seen her do the wand or change herself... Maia leaned back frowning slightly...

Having missed a couple days due to the player sleeping all day the cold getting into his hands, Aaron makes it to work early Friday. He opened the shop, turning on lights and quietly going about getting everything prepped. Glancing at the schedule, he smirked. No cross tattoos scheduled yet.

And then he saw one further down the list. Scowling briefly, he went to go make some coffee. He hated inking boring things, and a cross was just about the most boring thing you could do. He mused it over in his head. Maybe he could convince the client to let him draw them a nice flash. Red didn't have any particular sets of religious themed flashes yet, so there was still a chance this could be turned around.

Nodding to himself, Aaron pulled a sketchpad from under the counter and began to mock up some decent and tasteful religion-of-your-choice flashes.

He sipped his coffee and drew, waiting for people to show up.

Michael flipped the sign from "closed" to "open" and started hanging Christmas decorations in the window. They'd have to run some lights under the eaves, too.

Ben was sitting at the counter, working on his manuscript. He glanced up now and then, but didn't offer to help.

((ooc: will be slow-played for a while.))

After Ethics class, Buffy heads into town and opens up the flower shop. She turns the sign on so that it says "Open" and then she begins setting up new displays of roses. She's at the front counter separating long stemmed red roses.
[identity profile] geoff-chaucer.livejournal.com
The sign says OPEN, the door's unlocked, and Geoff is sitting at his worktable. Ostensibly he's writing, but close observation will show that he's mostly resting his head on his hand and doodling.

This week's good mood is gone. Stop by and bring him coffee cheer him up if you're of a mind to.

((Slow-played until evening EST))

The Perk...

Buffy comes in and orders a large mocha with an extra shot of espresso. She looks around and then selects a table towards the back.

[[OOC: Buffy is waiting for Jenny Calendar and Xander, but consider this a post for opening the Perk up.]]

Ivanova descended on the snoozing Jack like an irate Pak'Mara looking for some sushi. Or a Valkyrie, if you're into overused cliches. "Look at the state of this place!" she began when she had most of his sleepy attention. "Have you done any business since you moved in here? At all?"

"I have . . . just not in Fandom," Jack replied defensively. "It takes a while to build up a customer base, y'know?"

"And have you called Anakin back yet?" Ivanova demanded. "I know he called about the flight club - which I hope you remember agreeing to, seeing as how I asked you about it at least a dozen times."

"I'll go and call him! I was getting around to it! The answering machine wasn't working!" Jack's left eye began to twitch as he attempted to defend himself.

"And while we're on the subject, if you're out of town or just too lazy to get out of bed, call me." She brandished her hand at him and tapped the link stuck to the back of it. "Go and call him," Ivanova commanded, pointing imperiously into the Back. "And maybe you should try imposing some order on your little warehouse while you're at it." As Jack turned, Ivanova settled herself into his very comfy chair to mind the store.

Jack disappeared into the Back, grumbling under his breath. "I thought I was getting an employee, not a wife . . ."

"I heard that!"

Kiki has a small package for Mr. Crowley from Tara Maclay. She'll look for Mr. Crowley in his usual haunts: Hotel, Park, and Bookstore.

[ooc: Anywhere is fine; also Tara-mun will disclose contents of package.]

EDIT: If you're in on the Crowley treasure-hunt plot (Tara, Phoebe, Kiki...others), please post all gifts and directions through this post! Many thanks :)

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com
Stepping outside the shop for a breath of air, Aziraphale notices a familiar purple object nestled in the empty flower box by the window. Carefully he picks it up, examining it and frowning slightly. Then he looks around, up and down the street, and at the buildings across the way, as if he's looking for something specific.

With a small irritated sigh, he heads across the street toward Wolfram & Hart, stopping by the streetlamp in front to pick something up.

((For [livejournal.com profile] tooniceuglyties, but feel free to stop Phale and ask him what he's doing.))

Late Thursday night, a small band of revellers creeps giggling through the town. For those who remember the night that the town was (literally) Painted Red, some faces and forms might be familiar.

One figure, lanternlight shining onto honey-blonde hair, tips a bagload of some forty or fifty Read more... )
ducks into the pond, disturbing some of the sleeping birds and giggling helplessly.

Bagoas skipped school today and is just wandering around, looking lost in thought.

((Open to [livejournal.com profile] the4thsister or anyone else who wants to stop by. He'll be out here pretty much all day, and I'll keep playing it all the way until he's supposed to be in detention tomorrow.))

The shoppe is open. Christmas music is playing faintly, and Tonks is attempting to hang garlands. This might not bode so well...

They had three days off and didn't know what to do with themselves. Getting into trouble. That they could do.

But tonight they had the pub and opened they did. With Mindless Self Indulgence playing on the jukebox, Kadaj turned the sign on to blink OPEN and the three brothers settled in behind the bar to begin their night.

and in the right place too!

Tex opens up the shop. This no armour thing is really starting to work on her nerves. As usual, the bratty duck is already outside waiting for her. Tex slaps a new sign on the window.

Feathery trespassers will be shot

((Shop lay out and supplies can be found here. In other news, RvB has the first episodes with Tex back online. Episode 10 gives a semi-introduction if anyone's interested.))
[identity profile] jarodpretends.livejournal.com
Jarod was once again at the receptionist's desk, but had chosen to work on his wireless laptop instead of the Sin's computer. He didn't want anything he was doing to be traced back to Becky and Miho.

From time to time he got off the chair and sat on the floor in the lotus position, eyes closed, meditated for a while, then got back up and sat at the computer again.

Barbossa was tooling around his recently acquired jollyboat. He was carefully painting over the name of the ship it had come from and rechristening it the Heidy Ho III.

Don't ask what happened to the first two Heidy Hos. Really.

He glanced down the beach every now and again, waiting for someone.

Zhaan had spent the day inventorying her shop and realizing that she missed the excitement of Moya. Hectic though it may have been, there'd been something that confirmed being alive when surrounded by chaos.

Death and destruction, and the innate... Thanks to Crichton, she could call it humanity. Watching him struggle with first understanding, and later with Aeryn. Forcing her to be more, forcing all of them to accept the same. Peacekeeper, hynerian dominar, thieving tralk, warrior, and priestess with a checkered past.

So after finishing for the day, she took herself to the park, gazing at the stars and wondering if Earth had as many modes of weather as humans had moods during the day.
